On this page
Invifest is one of the services below, and it is ours. Every other entry comes from that company's own pricing, FAQ or terms page, checked on 27 October 2026.
Why link life matters
- Before the wedding, the link is the reference. The reminder you send the day before points to it, and so does every "what time is the mehendi?" message in the family group.
- On the day, guests find the venue from its map pin, often from the car.
- After the wedding, it is the record: the names, the functions, the photos and the song, in the order they happened. It is worth reopening on an anniversary, or sending to a relative abroad.
- The replies live behind it. On many services the guest list and the RSVPs go when the link goes.
A printed card sits in a drawer for decades. A link only lasts as long as someone keeps paying for it, or promises to keep it up.
What each service says, checked 27 October 2026
| Service | How long the link stays online | What happens after |
|---|---|---|
| Invifest (ours) | No expiry date and no yearly fee | Online for as long as Invifest runs; 90 days' notice and a copy to keep if it ever closes |
| Invity | Free: 7 days. Grand: 60 days. Royal: 180 days | Archived, not deleted; renewing brings it back at the same address |
| PixerInvite | Until 13 months after the last event | The invitation, its photos and its replies are erased for good |
| Samaro | Free event: 15 days. Paid events: 1 year | Not stated separately for the invites |
| Wedence | Not stated; the free plan is labelled "₹0 forever" | Not stated |
| Shubh Invitation | Not published | Deleting your account deletes its invitations, and their links stop working |
| Wedsmint | Not published | Its terms say availability can depend on hosting and other services |
| Crafty Art, WedMeGood, Canva | Not published on the pages we read | Not stated |
| Desievite, Celebrare, Wedinvite | Nothing to expire: you get an image, PDF or video file | You keep the file, but it cannot be updated |
Two things stand out. Invity publishes its link life most plainly, and its terms add that expired pages "may be archived or taken offline". And "one-time payment" is not the same as "forever": Invity, PixerInvite and Wedence all charge once, but Invity's plans then end after 60 or 180 days, PixerInvite's 13 months after the last event, and Wedence does not say.
What "for life" really means
"For life" is easy to print and hard to keep, so here is ours in full, from section A9 of our Terms. Your invite's link has no expiry date and no yearly fee: you can open it, share it again and keep it as a memory. "For life" means for as long as Invifest runs. If Invifest ever has to close, we will tell you at least 90 days before, and send you a copy of your invite with simple steps to put it online yourself, your invite as a PDF to keep, and a copy of your guests' replies that we still hold.
Whichever service you choose, ask these before you pay:
- How long does the link stay online after the wedding?
- Is there a yearly fee, or a renewal to keep it live?
- What happens to it if your company closes?
- Can I get a copy to keep, as a PDF or a video?
- What happens to the guest list and the replies, and when?
What happens to RSVPs and guest data
On an Invifest invite, guests' replies sit in a private RSVP console that is free with the invite, for as long as the invite is online, and you can export them to Excel at any time. You can also ask us in writing to delete them whenever you like.
Aangan, the guest dashboard (₹3,000), works differently on purpose. It holds your whole guest list with phone numbers, and it stays open until 30 days after your last function. Before it closes we remind you to export the list and every reply to Excel; then everything in it is deleted for good. Your main invitation link stays up.
Elsewhere: Invity archives the invitation with the plan, PixerInvite erases replies along with the invitation 13 months after the last event and asks you to download your list first, and Shubh Invitation deletes guest lists and replies if you delete your account. The others do not say.
Keeping a copy yourself
Even a link with no expiry date is worth backing up, because a file is yours whatever happens to any company, ours included.
- A PDF of your invite (₹1,000): your invite's own pages laid out one after another, with every function's date, time and venue, within 3 days of your final invite. If the invite changes later, we make the PDF again once, free. See a sample PDF.
- A 4K video of your invite (₹1,100): every page coming alive in turn with your song, in 4K and in a light 720p for WhatsApp, made once from your final invite. See a sample film.
- Your replies in Excel: free, from the RSVP console, whenever you want.
- Screenshots: free, and better than nothing. Save the cover, the family section and each function on your phone.

Questions people ask
How long does a digital wedding invitation stay online?
From 7 days on some free plans to no expiry at all. Invity's plans last 7, 60 or 180 days, Samaro's free event 15 days and paid events a year, and PixerInvite keeps a paid invitation until 13 months after the last event. Invifest's links have no expiry date. Most services do not publish it, so ask before you pay.
Does the Invifest link expire?
No. It has no expiry date and no yearly fee (Terms, A9). If Invifest ever had to close, you would get at least 90 days' notice, a copy of your invite to put online yourself, a PDF and your guests' replies.
What happens to my wedding website after the wedding?
It depends on the service. Invity archives it when the plan ends and brings it back if you renew; PixerInvite erases it 13 months after the last event; an Invifest link stays as it is, for you to reopen and share.
Will my guests' RSVPs be kept?
On Invifest, replies stay in your free RSVP console while the invite is online, and you can export them to Excel. Aangan, the guest dashboard, closes 30 days after your last function and deletes its data after reminding you to export it.
Can I download my invitation to keep?
Yes. Invifest makes a PDF of your invite (₹1,000) and a 4K video of it (₹1,100), both files you keep. Desievite, Celebrare and Wedinvite give you a file to begin with.
Do I have to pay every year to keep the link?
Not with Invifest, Shubh Invitation, Wedence, Invity or PixerInvite, which all charge once. But once is not always forever: Invity's plans end after 7, 60 or 180 days, and PixerInvite erases an invitation 13 months after its last event.
