Two notes on the table. Invity's two plans were half price with the code WELCOME50 until 31 October 2026, and Wedence's Pro was shown as a festive offer against ₹5,999. Prices with tax: Shubh Invitation and Invifest include it, while Weddingkart quotes ₹5,999 plus 18% GST for its Basic plan. The one guide that puts an e-invite at INR 20,000 to INR 50,000 is VenueLook's cost page, which carries no date and no breakdown.

What makes one invitation cost more than another

  • Who makes it. An editor you fill in yourself costs less than a designer's hours. Websites made for you start at ₹1,999 (Wedsmint) and ₹2,499 (Invifest).
  • Template or custom art. A painting of your city, your mandap or your family deity is made for one family, so custom designs are priced per project everywhere we looked.
  • Caricatures. A caricature video is ₹6,999 at WedMeGood. On an Invifest invite, a caricature of the two of you on every ceremony card is a ₹600 add-on.
  • How many functions. Wedence's free plan covers your first 2 functions. A wedding with haldi, mehendi, sangeet, the wedding and a reception needs every one of them.
  • Replies and guest tools. Counting replies is often free. Names per function, an Excel export, personal links and WhatsApp sending cost more: Invifest's Aangan ₹3,000, Wedence Pro ₹3,999, Weddingkart Basic ₹7,079.
  • Changes. Invifest includes two rounds of changes; WedMeGood charges Rs. 499 for each video edit after the first; Desievite includes 7 free edit credits per order.
  • How long the link lasts. Invity's plans run 7, 60 or 180 days and Samaro's paid events a year. Invifest's link has no expiry date and no yearly fee.

A fully custom design is quoted per project.

Digital vs printed: the total for 300 families

Count households, not people: 300 families means 300 cards. Using the same rough figures as our printed or digital guide, ₹60 to ₹250 a card plus courier:

Rough totals for 300 families (card prices vary a lot, so read the ranges, not the exact numbers)
Print onlyPrint 50 + linkLink only
Cards printed300500
Cards at ₹60 to ₹250 each₹18,000 to ₹75,000₹3,000 to ₹12,500₹0
Courier and delivery₹3,000 to ₹9,000₹500 to ₹1,500₹0
Invitation website₹0₹2,499₹2,499
Rough total₹21,000 to ₹84,000₹6,000 to ₹16,500₹2,499

Other published ranges agree on the order of magnitude: InviteCrafter puts printed cards at ₹40 to ₹300 each (February 2026), and VenueLook at about INR 250 unboxed and INR 700 boxed. Most families we work with print thirty to sixty cards for the elders, the mandir and the homes they visit in person, and send the link to everyone else.

Hidden costs to ask about

  • A link that expires. Ask how long it stays online and what renewal costs (how long each service keeps it). Invity's plans last 7, 60 or 180 days and are then archived until you renew.
  • Watermarks. Free plans often carry one: Shubh Invitation's free designs show a small "Made with Shubh" mark, Invity's free plan its watermark, and Crafty Art keeps watermark-free export for paid plans.
  • Paid edits. WedMeGood charges Rs. 499 for each video edit after the first. Invifest includes two rounds within 7 days of the first version, two more cost ₹578, and a mistake of ours is fixed free whenever you find it.
  • GST on top. Check whether a price includes tax. Weddingkart's Basic is ₹5,999 plus 18% GST, which makes ₹7,079.
  • Foreign cards. Paying Invifest with a card from outside India adds the gateway's 3% and 18% GST on that fee, shown before you pay.
  • Per-guest pricing. Paperless Post charges $0.50 to $1.44 per guest in US dollars after its first 50 free invitations; Weddingkart counts WhatsApp messages in credits, with more at ₹1 a credit.
  • Refunds. WedMeGood states no refunds. Shubh Invitation refunds within 7 days if no guest has opened the invitation. Invifest refunds within 7 days only if work has not started.
