The four ways to get one
- Edit a free template yourself. Canva, FlexClip and Crafty Art have Indian wedding invitation video templates. You swap in the names, dates and photos on a phone or a laptop. It costs nothing but your evenings, with limits on the free plans.
- Fill in a form and let a site make it. Desievite makes the video automatically from your details, usually in 3 to 5 minutes.
- Have a team make it. WedMeGood, Riwaaz, Wedinvite and Celebrare fill a template in for you within 24 to 72 hours. Caricature and 3D videos sit at the top of the price range.
- Turn your invitation link into a video. Some invitation websites give you a video of the invite itself. The video announces the wedding, and the link keeps the functions, maps and replies.

Riwaaz's ₹299 is a starting price. Wedinvite shows ₹499 three times on its home page beside its invitation styles, and its other prices sit in its shop. If you are pricing the whole invitation and not only the video, our cost guide has every type side by side.
Free templates: Canva, FlexClip and Crafty Art
- Canva. Its Indian wedding template page (canva.com/templates/s/indian-wedding) mixes invitation cards with "Mobile Video" and Instagram Reel versions you can edit. Canva's Indian pricing page lists Free at ₹0, Pro Lite at ₹1,590 a year and Pro at ₹4,000 a year for one person; premium templates and more AI need a paid plan.
- FlexClip. Free Indian wedding invitation templates, plus AI tools that swap your photos into a template. The free plan downloads in 720p, allows 12 projects and videos up to 10 minutes; "No FlexClip watermark" is listed only on the paid plans, Plus at ₹13,691.74 a year (billed annually) and Business above it.
- Crafty Art. An Indian app with video invitation templates in Hindi, Marathi and other languages, and its own music library. Its free plan exports one template or video a day, and its video page says free templates "may include a watermark, which can be removed through a small upgrade". Its plans are ₹499, ₹999 and ₹2,999.
Why CapCut is not on this list
CapCut's template pages, including a free "Hindi Wedding Invitation Video Template", show up in searches for Indian invitation videos. But CapCut was one of the Chinese apps India blocked in 2020, and its Wikipedia article notes that Indian users could no longer use or download it. A template you cannot open in India is no help, so we have left it out.
If someone in the family edits video for a living, editable project files for After Effects or Premiere Pro are another route. They need the software and an evening of editing, and the result is as good as the person editing it.
AI video makers: what they do well, and where they slip
AI tools can now make a few seconds of film from a sentence or a photo. Google's Gemini app makes 10-second videos, from a prompt or from up to five photos, with its Omni model on a paid plan. FlexClip lists image-to-video and text-to-video tools, with a free trial and credits on its paid plans, and Crafty Art's Pro plan includes 500 AI credits for tools such as its caricature maker.
- Good for: a moving cover. Your city's skyline at dusk, petals falling over a mandap, diyas being lit, a palace gate swinging open. Ask for the scene with no words in it.
- Slips on names and scripts: text drawn inside an AI video often comes out misspelt, and Devanagari letters can break. Add the names, the date and every Hindi line afterwards in an editor, where they can be checked and corrected.
- Slips on faces: a face can change from one shot to the next, or come out lighter or older than the person. Show it to the people in it before it goes to three hundred guests.

Caricature and 3D videos
A caricature video draws the two of you as cartoons: dancing at the sangeet, in yellow for the haldi, arriving with the baraat. A 3D video moves a camera through a built scene, a palace or a mandap. Both take a person's work, which is why they cost the most.
- WedMeGood: its customised caricature video (Jaipur Hues) and its 3D invite (Fairytale) were ₹6,999 each on 27 October. Its team delivers in 72 working hours; the first edit is free, each one after that costs Rs. 499, and music, background colour, fonts and designs cannot be changed. Its policy is no cancellation and no refund.
- Celebrare: its page says a caricature video takes about 2 days and a standard video about 24 hours. Orders go through WhatsApp with 20% paid in advance; no rupee price is published.
- Wedinvite: caricature invitations among its styles, delivered within 48 working hours by its own count.
- Crafty Art: an AI caricature maker that turns a photo into a cartoon, for you to place on a template yourself.
What makes a good invitation video
- Names, date and city in the first five seconds. Our ideas guide puts it plainly: past forty seconds, people stop before the venue appears.
- Thirty to forty-five seconds. Half of WedMeGood's 239 video templates run 45 seconds or less; the longest run about two minutes.
- Vertical, for Status and Reels. A 9:16 video fills the phone screen; a wide one plays as a strip in the middle.
- Words you can read on an old phone. Large, plain type, held on screen long enough to read twice. Hindi in a font made for Devanagari, not a decorative English one.
- Every name and weekday checked. One groom's earlier video, from another maker, had the wrong day of the week and missing family names. A video cannot be corrected in place.
- Music you are allowed to use. Instagram, YouTube and other platforms may mute or block a song they hold rights to.
- A light file. Riwaaz, for example, keeps its videos under 15 MB for WhatsApp. A heavy file sits downloading on a relative's slow connection.
- An ending that points to the details. PixerInvite's video ends with the invitation link and a QR code. The video is the announcement; the times, maps and replies belong on the link.
Video, website, or both?
A video announces; an invitation website holds what guests come back for. If your wedding has one function at one venue, a good video and a phone call may be all you need. With several functions and venues, replies to count, or details that might change, send the link for the details and the video for Status. Video invitation or invitation website compares the two in full, and what an invitation website is explains the link.
Invifest's 4K film of your invite (ours)
We make the film from your finished invitation website, so it never disagrees with the link. Every page of your invite comes alive in turn, set to your song, and you get it in 4K and as a light 720p for WhatsApp: post it as a reel, send it to relatives who prefer watching to tapping, or play it on the screens at the venue. It costs ₹1,100 as an add-on to the invite, and reaches you within 3 days of your final invite.
Two honest limits, from section B4 of our Terms. The film is made once, from your final invite, so there are no changes to the film, and it is not remade if your invite changes later. Its format, the order of the scenes, the pace and the length, is ours to decide. You can watch a sample film before you buy. The invitation websites it is made from start at ₹2,499.
Invitation designs
6 designs you can personalise, from ₹2,499. Open any one to see it full size, with a live demo.

Can I use CapCut for a wedding invitation video in India?
Not easily. CapCut was among the Chinese apps India blocked in 2020, and Indian users could no longer download it. Canva, FlexClip and Crafty Art have Indian wedding video templates you can open here.
How long should a wedding invitation video be?
Thirty to forty-five seconds. Put the names, the date and the city in the first five seconds; past forty seconds, many people stop watching before the venue appears.
How long does a caricature video take?
About 2 days at Celebrare by its own page, within 48 working hours at Wedinvite, and 72 working hours at WedMeGood. Add time for approving the drawn faces.

No. A corrected video has to be sent round again, and WedMeGood charges Rs. 499 for each edit after the first. An invitation website link updates in place, which is why many families send both.
