In short

Three kinds of studio design wedding e-invites from scratch in India: those that build the invitation website for you (Invifest, which is ours, Riwaaz and Amantrran), those that animate a video (MakeMyInvite, Osprey Invites, The Invitation Spot, Kiana, Pink Whistle Man) and luxury studios that design a whole digital and print suite (The Murphy Studio, KRT Design Studio, Sanjana Ranjit). Pick the format first.

When a family wants something nobody else has, the search usually turns up two things: studio portfolios and press lists. Neither says what a studio actually makes, how you order, what it costs or how long it takes. This page does, for eleven studios, sorted by the format they make.

We make Invifest, so weigh our view with that in mind. Every other studio is described from its own website, read on 27 October 2026, and each section links the page we read. Where a studio publishes no price or timeline, we say so rather than guess.

The studios at a glance

One row per studio, in the order of the sections below: invitation websites, then animated videos, then full digital and print suites.

Studios that make the invitation website for you

A website carries every function with its map and a reply form, and the same link updates when a time changes. These three build it for you; you send the details and approve the result.

Invifest (ours)

Our designers make each invitation by hand as a small website at its own link. You can start from one of our 30 ready designs, for Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh and South Indian weddings and other occasions, which we make into yours with your names, every function, your photos and your song. For an idea no design has, our designers draw the invitation from scratch, agreed with you on WhatsApp first and quoted before you pay. Some art, such as a painting of the two of you or a caricature, is made with the help of AI tools from your photos and finished by our designers, and you can say no to that before we start.

You send your details over WhatsApp. The first version of a ready design reaches you within 3 days of complete details, or in under 24 hours on request, with two rounds of changes within 7 days, and a mistake of ours is fixed whenever you find it. The link has no expiry date and no yearly fee (Terms). On designs with a reply form, guests' replies reach a private RSVP console with your own login, and Aangan adds a personal link for every guest. Every invitation carries "Handcrafted for" your names "by Invifest" at its foot. Twelve of the ready designs are shown, with what makes each work, in our examples, and the custom route is on the custom design page.

  • Good for: families who want a website rather than a film, made for them, with every function on one link.
  • Keep in mind: a person makes it, so it is not instant, and our designers take only so many invitations a month: check the design page for this month's slots. We refund in full if you cancel before work starts, and nothing once it has started.

Riwaaz

Riwaaz's team designs your full wedding website, with the schedule, photos, story and a reply form, and sends a preview link; you pay only after you approve it. Basic is ₹9,999, Standard ₹19,999 and Premium ₹24,999, one-time, and a Bespoke site "designed from scratch, just for you" starts at ₹45,000 with the domain included. Websites stay live for 1 year, which Premium can extend. Basic includes one round of revisions, Standard three, and Premium unlimited revisions until the wedding day. The wording can be in Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali or two languages.

  • Good for: a made-for-you site on a bigger budget, paid only after you see it.
  • Keep in mind: replies counted for each function and a spreadsheet export come only with Premium, and the site lasts a year unless you extend it.

Amantrran

Amantrran, from Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh, makes interactive invitation websites in two ways. Curated (₹5,500) personalises one of its existing designs in a typical 3 to 5 working days; Bespoke (from ₹8,000) starts from your story with original creative direction, "built without a template", in 10 to 15 working days. Both include a custom domain and hosting "for the agreed project duration", a 50% advance confirms the booking, and changes made after sharing appear on the same link. It suggests booking Curated 7 to 10 days before you want to share it, and Bespoke 3 to 4 weeks ahead.

  • Good for: a story-led website at a moderate price, on your own domain.
  • Keep in mind: its plan list shows guest wishes and RSVP for both options, while its FAQ says they come only with Bespoke, so confirm before you book; ask too how long the hosting lasts.

Studios that animate a video invitation

A video is a file: it plays in the chat with your song, it is easy to forward, and a change after sending means a new file. These studios draw and animate it for you. Our guide to a video or a website helps you choose between the two.

MakeMyInvite

MakeMyInvite, a Kolkata studio, publishes the clearest prices of any studio here. You pick a design, format, length, events and language, and a designer replies on WhatsApp within 2 working hours with a firm quote. A watermarked first draft arrives within 48 hours of your details, three revisions are free, and you receive an HD MP4 and a WhatsApp-sized copy. Select (₹1,900 to ₹6,000) sets your details and photos into a catalogue design without redrawing it; Tailored (₹8,000 to ₹18,000) redraws the illustration to your venue, outfits and city, for weddings with three or more events; Bespoke (from ₹25,000) begins with a concept meeting and a storyboard, with original illustration and music, typically in 3 to 4 weeks.

Its extras are priced too: each ceremony after the first adds ₹1,000, a second language ₹1,200, a custom caricature ₹2,500, and a 24-hour turnaround ₹1,200.

  • Good for: an illustrated video with a known price and a fast first draft.
  • Keep in mind: the price rises with every function and extra, so add them all to the estimate before you compare.

Osprey Invites

Osprey Invites is a boutique studio in Mumbai, led by its founder and creative director, that designs one look across the invitation, the animation and the stationery. Its catalogue of digital invitations shows starting prices from Rs. 500 to Rs. 4,800 a design, its four ready wedding websites cost Rs. 15,000 each and go live within 48 hours of your details, and a bespoke commission starts with a consultation, with no published price. Animated invites arrive as MP4 files and static ones as PDFs.

Its FAQs list what costs extra: another event in an animated invite from INR 6,000, a version for the bride's or the groom's side from INR 5,000, a custom caricature from INR 5,000. Its files carry "Designed by OspreyInvites.com" at the end, and removing it costs half the invite's price. Once work has started there is no refund; a cancellation within an hour of ordering, before work starts, can be refunded in full.

  • Good for: a destination wedding or one look running from the save the date to the signage.
  • Keep in mind: extra events and versions add up quickly, so price the whole wedding, not one invite.

The Invitation Spot

The Invitation Spot, a Mumbai designer, makes animated videos and illustrated PDF e-invites "from scratch". We found no website of its own, so these facts are from its mytribe listing, whose prices are indicative, based on past work: a 3 to 5 page PDF e-invite at ₹3,500 to ₹6,500, in 3 to 4 working days with 2 rounds of corrections; a 60 to 90 second animated video on a ready theme, with faceless illustrations of the couple, at ₹10,000 to ₹16,000; and a storyboarded love-story film with detailed caricatures at ₹25,000 to ₹45,000, in 10 to 14 days.

  • Good for: a love-story film with caricatures that look like the two of you.
  • Keep in mind: the prices are estimates until you get a quote, and the cheaper video uses faceless figures, not your faces.

Kiana

Kiana is a Bengaluru studio for customised invitations and stationery, printed and digital, with meetings by appointment. Its mytribe listing shows animated invitation videos built around a couple's venue and story, from illustrated hill stations to a love story told as a board game. Its own site publishes no prices.

  • Good for: an illustrated video and printed cards from one studio.
  • Keep in mind: no published prices or timelines; book an appointment first.

Pink Whistle Man

Pink Whistle Man was started in October 2015 by Ranjani Ramesh Iyengar and, by its own count, has worked for more than 350 clients in 12 countries. Its about page describes complete wedding stationery suites, from save the dates, invites and wardrobe planners to menus, thank-you notes and favours, with an animator on the team. You share a brief through pinkwhistleman.com; it publishes no prices.

  • Good for: a concept-led identity for the whole wedding.
  • Keep in mind: no published prices or timelines, so start early.

Studios that design the whole suite, digital and print

These studios design an identity for the wedding and carry it across the e-invite, the printed cards and the stationery. None publishes a price, so expect a conversation before a quote.

The Murphy Studio

The Murphy Studio, in Pune, founded by Mitali Patil, calls itself "a luxury design studio crafting bespoke invitations" and makes a digital invitation suite and a print suite, for weddings in India and abroad. You enquire through its site; it publishes no prices or timelines.

  • Good for: a modern, editorial look across digital and print.
  • Keep in mind: no published prices or timelines.

KRT Design Studio

KRT Design Studio, in Delhi NCR, is a luxury brand and packaging studio with a wedding invitation division. Its portfolio page says "We do not produce templates", and it lists digital invites, print invites, video invites and hampers. It works by appointment and takes a limited number of projects each quarter; no prices are published.

  • Good for: a large family wedding that wants boxes, gifting and print as well as the e-invite.
  • Keep in mind: it is a luxury studio built around print and packaging, so ask whether it takes a digital-only order.

Sanjana Ranjit

Sanjana Ranjit, an illustrator and designer, makes fully custom invitations, printed and digital, static and animated, as well as wedding websites and stationery, and ships prints worldwide. Her page sets out the stages: a consultation and sketches (3 to 4 business days), rendered invites (7 to 9), approval and animation from a storyboard (7 to 9), and digital delivery (2 to 3), so four to five weeks for a digital suite. Rush orders cost 30% more; no prices are published.

  • Good for: hand-illustrated art for a wedding with guests abroad.
  • Keep in mind: allow four to five weeks, more with printing.

What goes wrong in custom work, and how to check

Custom work goes wrong in the same few places, whoever makes it. The first three came up with families we worked for this year; the rest are in the small print of the pages above.

  • A face that does not look like you. One bride turned down caricatures because they "looked too AI" and chose a real photograph. One groom's caricature had to be remade before it looked like him, and one bride felt her illustrated portrait made her look fairer than she is. Ask to approve the two of you drawn on your own, before you appear in every scene.
  • A wrong weekday, a missing name. One groom's earlier video invite, from another maker, had the wrong weekday and was missing family names. Read every name, relation, date and weekday against your own list, and check each weekday against a calendar, not against the draft.
  • An opening the elders do not understand. One family's elders turned down two opening films the couple loved, one built on a private memory and one on a metaphor. Ask to see the opening idea before the whole invitation is made, and judge it as your oldest guest would.
  • Extras that cost more than the invite. Another function, the other family's version or a caricature is often priced separately. Get the price for every function and both sides in writing.
  • A credit you did not expect. Some studios add their name to the files and charge to remove it. Ask before you order.
  • A link that stops. A website made for you may be hosted for a year or for an agreed period. Ask how long it stays online and what it costs to keep. Our guide to links that expire covers this.

Before you pay any studio

  1. See finished work in your formatA website as a live link on your phone; a video as a file in WhatsApp. A portfolio picture shows neither.
  2. Ask what is drawn for youWhich parts are new for your wedding, and which come from the studio's catalogue.
  3. Approve the faces firstBefore they are placed into every function.
  4. Get the whole priceEvery function, both families' versions, the extras and the turnaround.
  5. Ask about rounds and refundsHow many rounds of changes, what counts as one, and when refunds stop.

When a ready design is the better buy

Drawn from scratch is not always better. If one of a studio's ready designs already fits your tradition, your functions and your colours, having it made into yours is faster and costs a fraction of a commission, and you can often open it as a live demo before you choose.

From scratch earns its price when you can picture something no design has: a painting you love, a ritual nobody else includes, a palette taken from the lehenga, or the two of you drawn into every function. Our AI invitation guide explains what AI tools can and cannot draw well, the cost guide sorts every kind of invitation by budget, and every ready design we make is in our catalogue.

How we compared them

We started from the studios that ChatGPT named when asked for a premium, custom wedding e-invite in India, and read each one's own website on 27 October 2026: its about, pricing, process and FAQ pages where it has them. Two of the sites stop automated visits, so we opened them in a browser. One studio that AI answers also name, Sneha Agarwal Designs, is left out because we found no website of its own to check, and Kaagaz Kollectiv, an Ahmedabad illustration studio, is left out because its work is printed stationery first. For comparisons of do-it-yourself builders and apps, see our 25 options compared.

Questions people ask

Who designs custom wedding e-invites in India?

For an invitation website: Invifest (ours), Riwaaz and Amantrran. For an animated video: MakeMyInvite, Osprey Invites, The Invitation Spot, Kiana and Pink Whistle Man. For a full digital and print suite: The Murphy Studio, KRT Design Studio and Sanjana Ranjit.

How much does a custom wedding e-invite cost?

From the studios' own pages on 27 October 2026: a catalogue design with your details runs from a few hundred rupees to about ₹6,000, illustration redrawn for your wedding about ₹8,000 to ₹18,000, and work from scratch ₹25,000 to ₹45,000 or more. The luxury studios quote after a conversation. Our custom designs are quoted per project, and our ready designs' prices are on the pricing page.

How long does a custom wedding e-invite take?

From 48 hours for a first draft of a catalogue video at MakeMyInvite to 3 or 4 weeks for a bespoke film or an illustrated suite. Amantrran's bespoke websites take 10 to 15 working days. Our ready designs reach you within 3 days of complete details, or in under 24 hours on request.

Should a custom e-invite be a video or a website?

A website if guests need every function's map, a reply form and the right time after a change; a video if relatives would rather watch than tap. Many families send both. Our guide to a video or a website compares them.

Do these studios use AI?

At Invifest, some art, such as a painting of the couple or a caricature, is made with the help of AI tools and finished by our designers, and you can say no before we start. None of the other studios' pages we read says either way, so ask.

Can one studio make both families' invitations?

Usually, as an extra. Osprey Invites prices a bride's or groom's side version of an animated invite from INR 5,000, and Invifest makes the other family's own link in the same design as an add-on. Ask for it in the first quote.
